SHED Barber and Supply Bouldin

I highly recommend Rob Miller at the Hyde Park location. I've been getting my hair cut with Rob for almost 10 years and he has always provided me with excellent care and attention. He's always adapted to my style changes, made awesome recommendations and always left me feeling more confident than when I first sat down. More importantly, Rob is a phenomenal human being. Kind, skilled, intelligent and caring you'll end up feeling like a long time friend the moment you sit down. I've relocated out of the area but I will be making an effort to get a cut and visit Rob anytime I'm back in town. A true gentleman and a great friend.

Horrible service. Scheduled an appointment for a bald fade, the receptionist acknowledged and booked me a slot with Courtney. Came in to my appointment, waited for a little bit after my appointment time no big deal. Courtney apologized for the wait, again no big deal I'm chill. She sits me down and asks what I would like to do I said, "bald fade middle high and 2 inches off the top" She then tells me that I unfortunately have regular cut scheduled, not a skin fade...I'm sorry what? She said skin fades take an hour and I have you down for 45 mins for a regular cut ...okay who's fault is this? I would like a skin fade please as your receptionist set up the appointment. I'm sorry I can't do that. Since when does a bald fade take an hour? "Oh it's a lot of blending" lol okay maybe you should connect with some real barbers in Austin that can give a nice fade in 45 or less and a cheaper price. Never again.

Overdue in this review but had an incredible time getting my haircut with Andres! Still getting complimented on my cut even a month afterwards. Being a first time customer, I was a bit anxious at first but soon felt really comfortable throughout my appointment. This was thanks to Andres! Couldn’t recommend him enough - super personable, easy going, & I’m looking to get my haircut with him again next time I need one!

Andy is the best! I actually used to go to Andy when we both lived in Houston and it was such thrilling news to hear that he was moving to Austin and starting at SHED. Andy is a brilliant barber, more of an artist really. He knows how to use the tools and adjust based on the persons hair type. He knows what will look good on you and helps you find a hairstyle that suits you. Don’t skip out on Andy!

Overall, this is a super awesome place! Dogs! The staff bring their dogs and it is heaven! Adrian & Andres! Both of these guys are skilled and just all around great guys. I got lucky and walked in one day and Adrian had just had a cancellation. He took care of me quickly and gave me exactly what I wanted. Next time I was in I was matched up with Andres. We were doing full cut, shave, and beard trim. He spends a lot of time getting every detail correct. I would recommend both of them! Note: I watched a guy come in with some, already pretty, long, blonde hair. While Andres was cutting my hair Adrian was cutting his. When he left, he looked like a million bucks! Atmosphere! Very laid back* and unpretentious. *My only complaints/criticisms would be how loud it can get in there. They play some hardcore, heavy metal music at times. It just is not my thing and is probably the only genre of music of which I am not fan. Lastly, there was an obnoxiously loud stylist who was speaking at the top of her lungs and laughed like she was the only person in the room. This place isn't huge and has, maybe 7-8 chairs. So it is just rude and inconsiderate, IMO. This should not discourage you from giving them a try (unless you have very sensitive hearing). I will definitely be back!
